Titleist Golf Balls

Have you ever wondered Why so many love to use Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x? Well, to be honest, (according to some pro golfers, the ball has a good feel to it and it has the necessar Spin) well really? come on, it costs nearly RM300 a dozen here in malaysia... I can't really afford that! Especially that I have the propensity of loosing balls into the hazard area!

I am quite happy to just stick with Noodles + they are my favourites...

Kelantan Golf and Country Club

Kelantan Golf and Country Club or more known as KGCC was my home club for nearly 8 years. It was where I got my handicap and lost my virginity….swing that is. The course is a medium flat course. It has 18 holes and is one of the few walking courses in Malaysia. The course is mainly covered with ‘cow grass’ and Brazilian Bermudas as fairway.

It has a few difficult holes to master. On this, never underestimate Hole No. 2 which is a short Par 3. Although it is only approximately 140 yards, your iron shot must be dead accurate, failing which you will either end up in a bunker, the ravine or into the woods. Surrounding the small green are tall trees with lots of branches, making it a compulsory test of accuracy. Even the great Tiger will have to tame his power and concentrate on landing the target. 1st Nine, is a rather narrow course. You will see lots of tall trees along the fairway. Beware of the silky serpent a.k.a snakes when you are visiting, just look where you are stepping. The 2nd Nine is fairly wide and slightly longer than the 1st Nine. You should beware of the winds that will ultimately affect your ball trajectory and bird sh*ts falling on your head. If you are lucky, you are able to identify which darn bird is that! One does not have to command the strength of Hercules or Conan the Barbarian just to wave a shot to get 2 on green. Nevertheless, you will have to have those long utility hybrids, fairway woods, or long irons (if you can hit one) to play certain parts of this course to gain advantage.

The presence of a long Par 5, boasting approximately 560 yards clearly explains the necessity of such power equipments. A word of advice: never ever ever challenge a local uncle or pak cik whom you think you can beat on that course. Let me tell you, they know every inch where the rock lies, where the wind is blowing or whether it is going to rain, they are akin to the shamans of KGCC. They are also the masters of the fairway woods, with godlike chipping skills and the instinct of mother in sinking a putt.

You will regret… Truly I tell you, to play Golf in KGCC, you have to master your short irons.. Heck! That goes the same for every course you play! For more information, please visit http://www.kgcc.com.my/ It’s a Private Golf Club, with certain affiliated clubs in Malaysia.
